I see a nice cherry wood stand in the very near future. Ill be subbing just for this video lol...!!!
I knew last year I was going to get a bigger tank so I started planning. I selected this tree and was going to use the wood for some of the stand and a new dining table as well. I had the wood air dry for many months and then had it dried to about 8-10% in the kiln.
Are you doing some sort of live edge? I really want to do a live edge in my new in wall build.
No live edge on the tank but the dining table will be (actually already is. This was cut down last year)
This is the table in the early stages..
That is crazy cool. Nice
I am in the process of building now, and went live-edge. I didn’t select a tree though! If it’s anything like his sumps this is gonna be nuts! following
Love the wood work! My biggest pet peeve is painted wood. So definitely following!
Wow really nice.
Thats walnut.....The ebony of the USA. And thats a fine job of epoxy. No bubbles.
Lets see the dinner table and some pics of the sumps.. lol
That dining table is going to be amazing too! What sealant/stain are you going with?
I like this. Not cheap at $72 per gallon, but its a nice finish.
Looking forward to seeing this!
I just finished this sump for my 75. Then the new tank idea started and i never got to use it. I am going to build a 60" sump for the new tank.
Really nice sump. 3/8 acrylic?
only 1/4" on this one, but the new one will be 3/8" for sure.
You haven't sold that yet? Someone should buy it!
I’d buy it if shipping were an option
