Can someone ID this for me and how do I get rid of it if I have to or should ? It's all over the back of my wall and maybe a third of my rocks. It looks like a small Polyp on an acro almost, dont think it's aiptasia. If you touch it, it'll even close up like a polyp..very weird !

Right above the shrimp all over that rock...the little flowery things...

Possibly, but these are smaller than cloves, like a bit smaller than your pinky nail.

it’s just carpeting some rocks, like the pic with the shrimp in it. I added a couple of frags today and had to use my exacto knife to clear out a spot !!

There seems to be more every time I look. They don’t appear to be stinging anything and don’t have a bubble tip or arm so to speak.

how do I get rid of em ? I can just scrap the ones off my walls I guess, wondering if anybody’s dealt with em...

Watching a melevs reef video where he was using a laser to kill his Mojave’s. They actually look like a small anemone. What I have doesn’t look like what he had and other vids I watched....hmmm

Do Thalassianthus aster fit what you see?
That looks more like what I got ! Looking it up says...

Thalassianthus aster is a species of sea anemone in the family Thalassianthidae. A pest anemone, similar to Majano/Aiptasia Anemones. It's a small, somewhat green/brownish anemone.

....great, yet another thing in my tank to take care of ! How the heck did this thing get in there !?

Thanks for the ID...I think...;)

Looks like a good ID. You have some work ahead of you. The ones on the glass should be easy to remove. Hopefully you can just pull out the heaviest infested rock, but if not, I'd invest in a majano wand and try zapping.

So got some F-Aiptasia as some people have had good results.

What I haven’t seen anyone mention is that you can’t use this stuff if its not on a horizontal rock !! Just slides right off and goes everywhere !

which is almost worthless to me as the majority of my infestation is on vertical rocks and can’t remove them because of corals or hard to get...great !

Stuff like this really makes me question this hobby....smh...
