Bait it with nori ;)
That is what I have attached to the rock in the trap. He is getting closer. Could have caught some hermits and my hawk fish a few times already. I’m out of town for work the next two days. I’ll leave the trap in place and see if I can get him when I get back. Thanks again for all the advice!

I still haven’t been able to catch the tang. Today my clownfish both looked rough when I got home. Happened very suddenly because I didn’t notice anything last night. I caught the female and did a 5 min FW dip. I can’t tell what it is but I think something came off. They seem small and brown or off white.

I should mention that the tang looks good externally but is still scratching.

So maybe I’m dealing with multiple issues. She is still in an acclimation tank so I’ll see what happens tomorrow.

I peeked in with a flashlight before I left for work and she looked much better. I’m thinking I should dose Prazi-pro and see if it helps. None of the symptoms or timelines are matching anything I’m finding. Wish I had more experience here.

CRAP!

I dosed prazipro yeasterday. Everything seemed fine until today. Got home from work and my tang looks terrible! The flame hawk was laying on the bottom and I can’t find my royal Gramma.

I added an air stone incase I have an oxygen issue from the prazi. I thought pointing the power heads up would cover it. The hawk is now upright. Any help @Humblefish would be amazing! I’m still not sure what I’m dealing with.

Run your skimmer with the collection cup removed. Let it aerate. Watch it though and make sure you don't have the foam overflow!

^^^^ That is my feeling too but I dont know what to treat for. I can’t pinpoint a specific disease. I finally treated for flukes and caused new issues.

After looking at the pic closely it does look very velvet like. And honestly each med you dose knocks the immune system down a little more.

I would move the fish to QT and start copper or CP. They could have multiple afflictions going on at once.

Could that be possible after this long? Figured with velvet they would have been gone weeks ago.

I got the hawkfish out and he is really struggling. Lots of small white spots that look to me like velvet.

Fish can live with velvet longer than people typically say on here. In the end it’s much more likely to kill them, than ich or flukes.

Like tangs can be pretty tough, I worried and thought velvet from the beginning, personally.

I do think you have multiple issues here unfortunately. :(

I wish this wasn’t my first try at fish vet. Feeling like I failed . I’m going to be out of town until Sunday so I’m not sure what to do.
