I have had my tank for over a year and within the last 2 weeks my flipper cleaner has started cause hairline scratches wherever I move it on the tank. It’s a fairly new blade also and have never had a problem with it until recently I checked the magnet and there is no sand. It’s being caused by the blade. Has anyone had this happen to them? The scratches are hard to see in the pictures but very noticeable in person.

I made a post recently about hairline scratches showing up on my tank too, unrelated to a magnet cleaner since some appeared after I stopped using it.

a user suggested a snail maybe dragging sand around the glass and scratching it. Unsure if that’s the case

I don’t have any snails in my tank. I looked at it closely and it’s definitely the blade. I also can’t feel the scratches with my fingernail
