not familiar, but can run skimmer week on, week off ;)

it’s a Venturi skimmer. Similar to Lifereef. I have the 30” version. I’m so itching to get this up and running :-| stand is due to ship on 11/12 via freight from NJ to Cali. In hindsight I think it would have ended up cheaper buying a Waterbox kit during Blue Friday and already have my big DT

Got some work done on the water mixing station in the courtyard. Still need to do a lot of work to it, including plumbing into house. The tank will be on the other side of that window you see on the left. Other 35 Gal barrel is still in the garage full of salt water already.

The stand is late, didn’t show up last weds like they promised. But I got some work done on the water changing shed with some help. Next is make the doors, hang the RODI, move in the tanks and build the Salt mixing station.

Stand arrived today. Built and test fitted sump with skimmer. My calculations were off by about an inch. ;Shifty My MTC MVX Skimmer is 31.5” tall, but the sump base is about 1/2” acrylic and I also got a 1/2” HDPE shelf for the sump to sit on. So now I either have to shave the handle off the lid of the skimmer and the tops of the screws, flip the lid upside down and have the handle on the inside of the skimmer cup and still shave some of the screws or sell the skimmer and get a shorter one. Sad face. Dilemas dilemas.

Water mixing shed coming along. Just need to run water and power and plumb the pump.

I love those tanks. Looking to get very similar ones for my mixing station.

New salty inhabitants in my 10 gal. Got a couple of turbo snails, peppermint shrimp, emerald crabs and some stars. Lol. They will be going into the 75 Gal in about a month after I set it up this weekend and start cycling.

Let there be water and a pile of rocks.

Tank on the right is a 20 tall fresh water. There will be another on the left for QT. Need to work on the control cabinet/board while it’s cycling.
