I have a few of these on my live rock. Are they tiny feather dusters?

Actually those little feathers stay pretty tiny, and I love them.
To me they are a sign of a healthy reef.

My last few tanks I had a CBB to keep aptasia in check, and while those are neat to keep, it means absolutely no feathers or gorgonians, clams of any kind.
My present tank I'm going to do w/out a CBB just so I can have feathers and gorgs again.
