Don’t run caribsea oolite sand lol I have bare bottom and sand
Haha, I was just thinking the same thing. Guess who went with oolite sand in his tank? My inverts just love, love, love it - but from a maintenance standpoint it’s a royal PITA.

Oh I went with the oolite too! I love it and it’s eventually settled down but does get kicked up every now and then.

I have caribsea Fiji pink or whatever it’s called. I would say my tank is medium/medium-high flow (around 70x actual tank volume turnover, but pulsing and alternating). Once the sand settled in the first few days, it hasn’t blown around since. Personally, I like the look of sand, bare-bottom just ruins the fantasy for me, so I’m willing to put up with the drawbacks that come with sand (plus I like to have animals that need sand).
