Hello. I’m maybe about a week away from starting the cycle provided everything ordered arrives on time. I have water in the tank now as I was testing equipment. Question is, can I add sand and dry rock now even if it may be a week or two before I start the cycle? And if It’s ok, should I run the pumps or is it ok with just standing water? Thnx all

Yes add rock and sand. Rinse the sand in a bucket until its clear before adding it to your tank. You do not need to run the pumps. It will not hurt if you do run them.

Pumps might help you decide placement before you add live stock. Lot more tedious to fix a sand pile after you have fish and corals(or bristle worms in your sand lol)

Rock, sand, water, and you can run the pumps all you want just keep the lights turned off. This works really well for me when starting up a new tank.
