This is my first torch coral and it hasn't extended much further than the picture since I added it to my tank almost 2 weeks ago. All other corals are doing great and fully opened and my water parameters haven't changed he is in a medium flow and medium light area . Is this normal for torches to take this long?

No it's really not.

Too much flow will often cause them to retract in order to protect the tentacles tearing on the skeleton from whipping around.

Full parameters nasty be helpful.

I start torches in medium flow lower light and move them up gradually.
