Not at all! I have an awesome source for Wilsonis who import from in Western Autralia! About a year ago, my brother bought a frag of drab red Symphyllia Wilsoni, and it grew into the most amazingly bright, puffy coral, so I started my hunt - I eventually found a really awesome collector who harvests the tropical kind - not the deep water (which are difficult, require acclimation up from colder temps, etc).
I have quite a few colonies in right now that are for sale, as well as frags.
Get ahold of me! I plan to really focus on Wilsonis for a bit. I think they’re super neat :)

Have you ever tried the deepwater ones? Ever since I saw them I fell in love, and I've heard once they do get acclimated they aren't insanely difficult, but that's a big if. I feel like I should just suck it up and get a really nice Trachy instead but I'm stubborn... lol

I have not yet, but have plans to set up a tank especially for an import of those guys when it’s the season - hopefully there is enough interest in these tropical ones to justify the risk to my wife

Sorry to clog up your comments section here, but if you do end up making the leap and can successfully wean them onto aquarium light conditions, I would be the first to take a mini colony off your hands. Please let me know if you ever do!

This is the Symphyllia that started my intrigue. From first getting it to almost a year later. A fellow r2r member now has it
