You should really take care of all that aiptasia and majano before they really take over your tank!!!

I like the clams and the actual rock but the silicon stuff just doesn’t look convincing.
Jason K that aiptasia you referee to about taking over my tank lol buddy thete silicone and they fooled you.

It didn’t fool me. It was a joke because the “silicone coral” resembled things that are perceived as a nuisance and unwanted in real Reef tanks.

Lol I agree on natural tanish color aiptasia there's not much beauty in them but these being purple and the tomatoe sunsets are pretty in my option.

This 50 gallon reef tank and it was done with plastic resin rocks and silicone corals and anienomies .
I've been into reef tanks for some 20 years and things just keep climbing in cost, with live rock , corals and fish.
I love salwater fish very much too but as you all know not very many fish will live along side corals without eating them. So this was my idea to lower cost and have the best of both worlds. The silcon corals and plastic reson rocks have come along way to mimic realism and are much cheaper.
The rocks are cast from live rock formations they are hollow making them, very light and the fish love the hollow rocks as they swim iside. Algea grows o, the rocks same as live rocks and in the end look much better than, the solid purple rocks for sale now as live rock.
The corals are easy to maintain running a nitrate/phosphate reactor keeping undesirable algea from growing.
I see this as the new age of reef aquaria.

I like my fake corals too. I got most of them off of eBay for $1-5 a piece. My snails do a pretty good job of keeping them clean. I got a valentini puffer for Christmas so not as good a job, but adequate. My new urchin was all over some of the new ones I have that aren’t in these older pictures. I have a few real corals too and some of my rock is DIY, some is Utah lace rock, and some is real live rock.
