Thanks for the nice comments. I increased the photoperiod to 7 hours with all the lights on and my acros seem to be responding well even though they have been hammered from the Dino outbreak. I lost a few colonies when I did lights out and added Dr Tims Waste-Away. I have since added a UV sterilizer and increased Nitrates around 5-10. I should be getting PO4 additives today and will increase it to above .1 from the current .02 in hopes of growing green algae to out compete the dinos.
Things have been improving since I added PO4. I overdosed by mistake and am above 2.5 which is the upper limit of my Hanna test. I have since added a few cups of GFO and added chaeto back but even after a few weeks I can't get it lower than 2.5. I am hoping the chaeto grows like crazy and I will keep dosing Nitrates to around 5-10 to make sure it doesn't bottom out with the chaeto running.
The cyano is starting to go away as well as the dinos are nearly non-existant. The coloration of the acros is getting much better every day but growth is almost non-existent. I had to turn off my CO2 to the Calcium Reactor because the Alk climbs about 0.1/day even with an extremely slow drip. Yesterday it was 10.2 dkh.
Aqua SD Rainbow Mille has not had good polyp extension for months. I’m hoping that changes soon. I moved the MP40 to give it a lot more flow and that seems to be helping. Millepora seem to be the most sensitive for me recently.
You can see that my Ding Dang mille has some cyano on it. It has been recovering from the dinos as well. Starting to get some polyps out and I can see it getting brighter.
