I’ve been busy with work and haven’t gathered any other equipment but The Sump came in today. It looks great edges are super clean and it’s pretty light. I like everything about it except the filter sponges they’re like a hard plastic material and very stiff/fall apart easy.

Came home after being gone for a few days and it was package galore in my room.

This just about finishes up the equipment part of things. I never even thought of buying an apex due to the price, but i found one one from someone getting out of the hobby. Unopened, in the box, for 550 bucks! Couldn’t pass it up.

Also picked up a used Reef Octopus 202s for a good price but it was just a little to big for the sump so I ended up ordering a regal 150ss from BRS instead. I guess that’s what I get for rushing a deal and not measuring first. nyone wanna buy it? Lol

It’s pretty much a waiting game now, I still need to get the other aquarium sold which is always a PITA as most of you know, then we’ll be waiting for my spare time in the new year. Only things I need now is another AI prime, rock/sand and I’m still figuring out how I want to mount the lights.

I’ll probably be setting up a QT in the next couple weeks to get that ready for the first wave of fish. A Pair of Picasso or black ice clowns and some bangaiis or green chromis

Skimmer unexpectedly showed up today, I’m sure the mailman is sick and tired of walking up to my porch recently. I took the body out of the box just to see how it fit and I’m much happier with it. I’ll Still have plenty of room to work around in the first chamber which I like.

Also got most of my plumbing parts and a couple other things for the tank and will be ordering the colored pvc.

Thats awesome! I have the 100 INT on the way...in hindsight I should have ordered the 150 but excited for it. For the return line, did you drill a hole in the elbow for a siphon break?

Nice! You thinking of doing a build thread?
I was considering the 100 because it was similar to the 120 that I had but I decided why not go bigger.
Also I haven’t plumbed anything yet, the tank is still in the crate and won’t be in the house for another month or so. But I picked up a spears true union check valve with all my plumbing to stop the Back siphon

I should be getting the tank tomorrow. I'll ask IM if I can drill that hole....I don't want to be reliant on a check valve...

So I started up my qt tank a few weeks back and here’s what I have so far:
3” Scopas tang
Pintail fairy wrasse
Blue Cleaner wrasse
Pair of (snowflake?) clowns
4 green chromis
Red fire fish

I have to admit, Scopas tangs never caught my eye but as soon as I seen this guy in the store I had to take him home

It’s hard to tell in these pictures but these clowns have a blueish color near their “stripes” D905D3BD-B2A2-4E3E-9663-F754784DC61A.jpeg 8494AF52-B8CD-4F87-91B6-3CABF08E47C7.jpeg
Pintail wrasse peeking his head out for the camera, this guy is still pretty shy but has some amazing colors.
These guys are being treated with 2.41ppm of copper power ramped up over 6 days and double checked with the Hanna checker. We’re just over a week into therapeutic levels and so far so good everyone is still healthily eating fat and happy.

I took this piece of styrofoam that is the exact size of my tank and drew some lines where the overflow box is and how much room I wanted away from the glass.

This is just what I kind of threw together real quick for an idea. It was only 1 box of Caribsea liferock arches and 1 box of shapes to see how much rock I would need. I ended up ordering another box of arches and 20lbs of the base rock which I think will be plenty.
I had a package from BRS delivered today with all my plumbing, 100lbs of caribsea special grade sand and a few other things but won’t be home until tomorrow to play with my scape again.
Thanks for looking everyone let me know what you think, more pics to come.

So here’s an update we lost 2 of the green chromis. I think they may have killed each other off there was some bickering and I lost 2 over a 3 day period. Also lost the blue cleaner wrasse the other morning, everything was fine one night when I fed the, next day I didn’t see him and then he was gone.I tested my parameters and everything looked normal but I did a water change anyways.

These guys have been getting frozen mysis with General Cure and focus for about 5 days now and will continue to get it throughout the next two weeks in QT.
The only thing holding me up is finding help getting this behemoth of a tank into the house, my brother and some others were going to help me but he hurt himself so now I have to find another person. With it being 3” wide it’s a little awkward and has to be turned on it’s side to get in the front door. Hopefully I can get it onto the stand this week. I’ll be picking up my 65gallon norwesco tanks on Monday to build my mixing station stay tuned!
