I couldn't find the old thread where people where posting these tests. I've been trying to nail down why high levels of BA and Zn where in my system so I decided to test a fresh batch of Red Sea Blue bucket mixed to 35ppt.

I notice elevated levels of BA and ZN which I guess have built up in my system over time. I've decided to switch salt mixes when what I run out but it there another way to remove these from my tank? Will Triton Detox work are the actually even dangerous?

Barium at that level does not concern me, and I wouldn't do anything about it.

The zinc is also only slightly elevated and I wouldn't worry at those levels either. :)

Well those are the levels in the fresh mix My tank's levels are much higher which I assume is a build up from using this salt for an extended period of time. Maybe not.

How could that happen? Using a salt mix cannot cause accumulation of things that are in it.

If the tank is higher in barium or zinc, then each water change serves to lower them, not cause them to accumulate. :)
