I am trying to catalog as many of the microorganisms in my reef system as possible and this one has me stumped. I am not sure how to even begin classifying it. It looks like a microscopic crab. I thought at first a type of ostracod but I don't see it having a bivalve shell. I am including a couple pics and video of how it moves. Anyone at least with an idea of how I could start classifying it?

I am doing this all just for fun so no harm in wrong answers. I would still love if there was a section on here for geeks like me who are interested in the micro world of our tanks.

That looks like it might be some type of ostracod. I am still waiting for my microscope to identify some creatures in my tank others suggested might be ostracods.
