I am trying to identify these brown items growing on a live rock I just obtained. The live rock has a red mushroom that I want. If the other items or bad can I remove the red mushroom without killing it?

Looks like a re emergence of star polyps, will probably turn green on you but there are brown varieties.

they look kinda like a clove polyp or a green star polyp without much of the green i hope this helps figuring out what it is
