Hi Guys

I picked up a powder blue tang this weekend and the lfs was running hypo at 1.010. I matched that when I brought the fish home in my qt. I slowly raised it to 1.015. I’m not a hypo fan and have never done it. I prefer ttm. At what salinity should I bring it upto before doing ttm or is it safe to do at 1.015?

I know that there are several vendors who run their fish systems at a similar level. I would start there, through TTM perhaps, but raise salinity gradually (as through evaporation) before moving him to your full-salinity display.

Fish can go into lower salinity much more easily / quickly than into higher salinity.
