Tuan’s IM Nuvo 20 build

[Tuan’s Reef]

This is my 1st reef tank. Had a fish only tank many years ago and always had a thing for marine fish.

Tank started October 2018

Tank: IM Nuvo Fusion 20 with matching stand
Lighting: Ecotech Radion XR30 Gen 4
Flow: 2 Ecotech Vortech MP10’s
Filtration: IM Nuvoskim skimmer, 2 Intank media caddies, 20 lbs real reef rock and life rock. Very thin layer of live sand maybe 1/8”
ATO: XP Aqua Duetto with 2.5g custom acrylic reservoir
Dosing: Jebao DP4
Top: custom safetoplid acrylic screen top
Controller: Apex Jr with temp and PH probes
RODI : AquaFx Barracuda 4-stage with duel TDS meter

Livestock:
Rainbow bubble tip nem
Mated pair black onyx Picasso perculas
1 blue green reef chromis

Cuc
1 cleaner shrimp
2 blue legged hermits
1 trochus snail
2 money cowry
1 nassarius snail
1 cerith snail

Corals: mixed reef of various sps, lps, zoas

Added my 1st acropora 2 weeks ago. Purple polyp acro . Showing great polyp extension . Looking to add more color to my reef

Pumps are overkill for the tank. What do you run it at?

I can probably do just fine with 1 pump but I like a varied flow to reduce dead zones.

Left pump runs a mix setting between reefcrest and lagoon at 50% max . Right pump runs 35% with a variety of different flow patterns alternating every 2-4 hrs.

Both pumps run nutrient export mode for 1 hr before going to night mode at 20% for 4 hrs constant.

I have the innovative marine gloss stand for the Nuvo 20. This stand is no longer being sold but it’s the one right before they came out with the APS model which is aluminum. My stand is made of wood, made by IM

This is the stand I have but it’s in gray instead of black . I like this stand so much better than the aluminum APS stand
