Right guy I’m stumped here and need your help. Recently lost two fish a bicolour mimic and a flasher wrasse both shown signs of flashing and visual spots more dusty look which leans me to velvet but no heavy breathing. On the other hand I now have a Tomini and a royal gramma showing signs of heavy breathing and also spots and flashing but still eating. And no just notice this on my fire goby he has a hole on I’m his side with a white stringy thing coming out also sign of tail rot. Pics below. Hopefully you can see

How do you go about treating that ?
That would be a question for @Jay Hemdal

Pics are also blurry and a little tough to make out, so might want to get some other opinions as well, and maybe see if you can get some clearer pics under white. By your description + pics you shared I thought of anchor worms, and I think they are some sort of parasitic copepod.

It isn’t something you can treat, those are the egg strands of the copepod. The actual parasite s down in the body of the fish where medication can’t reach it. If you did manage to kill the copepod (and there are likely others without eggs that you can’t see) the copepods die and cause sepsis.
For the other fish, without extreme breathing and not eating as the main symptoms, it probably isn’t velvet….sounds more like flukes. Have you dosed the tank with prazi yet?

The fish are still eating. The sick fish atm are flashing and have dust like spots and heavy breathing then also what’s on my fir goby. You still suspect flukes ?

That they are still feeding points more towards gill flukes IMO.

Can you post pictures and a short video?
Jay
Think you could be right with flukes just put white lights on and the Tomini is now really pale and I think you can see the marks on the sides your the expert here though so I’ll attach some pics hopefully for a confirmation.

It could be flukes. You can pretty safely dose your tank with Prazipro, as long as you ensure it is well aerated.

Dosed the first dose earlier. anywhere between 5-7 days good for second dose after 25% water change. The thing on that fire goby is getting longer god knows what’s happening there hopefully things improve

Actually looks like a fish poop would with internal parasites but coming from that hol instead
The first time I saw that on a firefish, I thought it was an intestinal evulsion.

Depends on how easy it would be to catch the fish - if the fish get beat to pieces while he chases them around, then no, a prazi treatment is better.
