Hi...

Looking for the right lighting for my 60 "x 30" x 24" mix reef tank.
Which one best is use two XR30 vs two XR30 with Aquaticife T5 Hybrid vs Two/Three XR15 with Aquaticlife T5 Hybrid?
What color of ATI bulb is best for the combination?

By the way i like the natural look...

Not sure on the bulb mix, but I feel like 4 XR15 with the T5 fixture would be better spread of light since it would be the same price as 2 XR30 with the t5 light.

Also if you like the natural look, stick with the regular pro version of the radions, not the blue version.

I have a 72x30x24 with a 61in Aquatic Life hybrid with 4 Radion XR15 G5 Blues and the spread is incredible. I may not need to get a 5th G5.

I am currently using 2 Blue+, 1 Coral+, 1 Purple+. I had great success with this combination in my 120. I do have a few Actinic bulbs though in case.

I think go for XR30 Pro, because i like natural view. But I still want the growth, color and pop to be good.
Still good combine with 2 Blue+, 1 Coral+, 1 Purple+ like yours?
How about if combine with 2 actinic and 2 aquablue special?

Is your tank mixed reef or...?
Do you think that using XR15's can cover all areas of your 30" tank width or is it still lacking?
Please show your 120 tank

My 120 is shut down. On my 225 the hybrid with 4 XR15 G5 Blues cover the width easily.

My 225 will be Sps dominant.

I have a similar setup in a 72x24x24. Two XR30 (from another tank) and one XR15. I run the Radions at 75% and get over 200 par on the sand bed easy with the T5 on. I run a set of blue and coral plus.

I run a mixed reef but it’s a bit to bright for some LPS.

One other note it sits 14” above the water level. Good for maintaining the tank but do get light spillage.

As of right now it is light, meaning I only have LPS in the tank, as its my tank upgrade, it is only going on a month wet. I run my 1st stage of T5's from 10 am till 3 pm, and the 2nd stage from 10:45 am till 14:20 pm. I run the Radions from 8 am till 8:30 pm with max intensity, which is currently at 50 percent from9:30 am till 7 pm. I will lengthen the T5 to at least 6-7 hours once my new tank is SPS ready. I currently have 1 SPS frag in the tank as a tester. I have more than enough light, I will have to mess with it as the tank matures. I like the XR15's because I can spread them out on a Hybrid fixture. Even using only Radions I would go with XR15's because I can build a light structure and spread them out over the given area. The XR30 is great, but I like having the ability to spread the XR15 to prevent shadowing at a cheaper price.

So you will hang the XR15 individually, not combined with the T5hybrid.
