Well got it together, set up and testing for leaks, just have to build the aquascape and tidy everything up.

Just stumbled across this today. Great build! I love the attention to detail on the stand/canopy. Looks like it really fits into your space. I had a 40 breeder for about 3 years - loved the footprint. 60 breeder has to be awesome as well!

This is my 60 breeder with an acrylic trigger sump, custom plumbing and canopy, husky workbench for the stand, only $124.99 at home depot, rated for 1,000 lbs, very nice and tall stand, built the canopy myself, the front door swings open with door hinges on top, also built the little stand for my trigger sump, currently a mixed reef, but slowly moving towards acro dominated with some euphyllia

Looks awesome! Great idea for the stand! That would have saved me some time and money!! Lol

Is it okay doing like that for the stand? Adding a piece of wood like that? Just wondering if that will affecting in the long run… I’m afraid doing something like that will make the tank blew up…

Good looking build so far. How tall is the 60 breeder? Aqueon’s website says the tank is 18”, however almost every article and petco list it at 16.25” tall. Just trying to figure out the true dimension. My local petco doesn’t have any, but there are some in stock about an hour away.

I just bought the 1600gph version of the modular marine overflow. I'm putting it on a rimmed 75gal aqueon. I'm concerned that the weir openings are too far below the rim to make the water line invisible. How far below the rim of the tank are the openings on your overflow and how far below the under side of the trim did you mount the inside box? Did you butt it up against the trim or leave enough room to take the lid off?
Thanks!

It's so low profile I pushed it up as high as I could, the water line is hidden. The internal cover still comes off.

Saw this build a few weeks back. It made me want to do my own! Thanks for the info along your journey! It definitely helped me out big time!

The 60g will be drilled soon. And the sump is a 15 gallon. I wanted a 20L but couldn't find one anywhere here in SD

Here is the start of mine. I messed up on one of the door so ill be fixing that and I'll probably end up taking outthe middle support bar for easy access.

Very nice, I like the rustic look, mine has been running for just over 3 weeks now. So far cycled it with 2 clonws and added a watchmen goby and a pistol shrimp, paired withing 20 mins.

Here's a few updated pictures. Plan is to add some gsp to the "island" rocks Infront of the caves initially this week. See how they do and go from there.
