Hey everyone! Getting back into the hobby after about 15 years off. Just started this tank about 3 months ago. It finished cycling about 3 weeks ago so I’m getting ready to get things somewhat moving.

Here’s what I’ve got going on with my setup so far:

  • Standard 40g breeder
  • Peninsula drilled fitted with Fiji Cube Overflow Box
  • Trigger Systems Ruby 36 Sump
  • Bubble Magus Curve 5 Extreme Protein Skimmer
  • 2 - hygger 2300GPG Controllable Wave Maker
  • hygger DCP controllable 800GPH return pump
  • 2 - NooPsyche K7 Mini
  • 2 - Populargrow 54W Blue Plus Light Bars
  • Orlushy 500W heater
  • Inkbird Temperature Controller
I’m planning on doing a mixed reef with SPS dominant on the taller rock structure and more LPS and Zoas on the lower rock structure.

Once the tank gets up and running with some livestock I’ll begin dosing as the tank readings indicate what needs it.

Anyhow, I’ll keep this thread updated as I updated and modify things on the tanks. As always, would love to hear suggestions or feedback. Thanks all!

PS: Electrical is a mess and next on the list for this weekend.

Looks cool! What are you planning to keep in it?
I’m planning on doing a mixed reef with SPS dominant on the taller rock structure and more LPS and Zoas on the lower rock structure. Also a couple clams. As for fish, not entirely sure yet. Probably a pair of Picasso clowns, a type of wrasse, blenny, and a couple others that are undetermined.

That'll be nice.. are you planning to manually dose 2 part?

I’m dosing it with pretty heavy consumption on a hydros doser. If you mix the powder with RO/DI it’s actually pretty affordable for what it is.
