This extremely rare fish is the first hybrid Gem X Scopas tang ever collected from Madagascar. Only 3 of this specie has ever been discovered and 2nd in the USA. The previous 2 hybrids were collected from Mauritius back in 2014 and 2015, however, this is the first of its kind collected from Madagascar. In addition it has been over 6 years since we have seen this specie reappear. Jake Adams of Reef Builders recently featured this fish in one of his articles.
