Ummm….is this normal for my torch????

So, my torch is splitting but I noticed one of the tentacles has turned into a Y…the original part still has its white tip, the new Y does not? Is this normal???? This hobby surprises me everyday. Lol.

My torch had a tentacle like that. Both ends had the glowing tips. Must just be some sort of mutation in the tentacle.

I have noticed my torches will do that after splitting quite often.

I've noticed "bumps and lumps" in the other tentacles as well....there's a few that just lack uniformity, they have some kinks and stuff in them....I believe this torch to be healthy (it's splitting, it's HUGE....never seems to retract), I wonder if this is normal or is a mutation of some sort like mentioned above?

All normal. Not all the tentacles can be perfect.

Yes, my hammer also does this:

You can see it on a few near the middle. It doesn’t really affect anything.

Thank you everyone for calming my nerves! I'm getting ready for vacation and have existential dread about my reef tank and being away from it. lol. I've been super fussy last couple of days trying to get everything setup so I can leave.

Yes! Very normal. It just means the torch is happy and is growing bigger!

Hammers will do this as well. Which can make people think they have a hybrid hammer. My torch did the multi dot thing while splitting as well. I can truly understand hitting the panic button with torches.
