Can anyone ID this for me? It seems kind of spongy if you poke it, and I thought that's what it was until I got a better look at it today. It actually has tubes, and a ton of them by the looks of it.

Thank you. I thought sponges preferred darker locations. Is it odd to have one in the DT? Would it be happier in a darker area?

Nope, I would just let them be :)

That kind can take a little light. It's what currently grows in my display when I dose vinegar.

Lol “happier” sponges. I’ve had tons grow in my darker sump and a handful of red or white ones try to grow in the display. I usually get rid of the display ones if they’re growing in the light. They’re good guys. I leave the sump ones alone.
