Diatoms filters, very few make use of them although its difficult to buy/find one because the "innovators" of the hobby would rather create a new led that is slightly different than the last LED than bring something useful. They could probably make one much easier to use and better built these days if they just bothered to do it.

Bread and butter old school coral. The basic coral of yesterday have been in the hobby for generations and are proven. They can handle more nutrients. My acro are all old school, I run a mixed reef and .03-.1 phosphate 10-25 nitrates. All of the acro are healthy happy and colored up, along with happy zoa, hammer's and frogs. Lots of coral in-between. For New reefers T5 lights, running reefs with just the basics not dosing all the stuff available today. Relying on water changes and two part only

erm i have a puffer in my reef, benetts puffer/toby
Which is not common as they aren’t really considered reef safe at least porcupine puffers aren’t. I know some people can have success especially with smaller puffers. But still they aren’t the most commonly kept fish in the hobby.
