Hello, Reef 2 Reef.

I posted about my GBTA hiding all the time [Link Here], well it has moved to the front and is showing itself off to the world, but I noticed it has a hole in its mouth and is open all the time:(. Now I could be wrong here and just be seeing its mouth rather than a hole/tear, but my other RBTA does not do this and the hole looks more like it has been ripped/bitten.

It is in good light placement, I have turned off my flow maker to help it get a stronghold of the rock where it is, and I am hoping that it is going to be ok. I feed my tank often 3x a day for my Clowns and snake pipe fish and have seen it pick up on food, I can only assume it has eaten but can not be sure.

If anyone can give me some info on treatment if needed or hope that nem is fine and just being in a mood with me?

Some pics to help:

cipro would be your only hope to help save it, but i would do that in a separate tank/container.

'nem's are very resilient inverts but you need to keep things very stable when they're this stressed/damaged.

agree with above, also do not try to feed it until it has recovered, ill or damaged nems do not respond well to feeding which will likely make things worse. Overall it doesn't look bad, and I expect if you treat it with cipro and then keep things stable, it should recover.
