Hello everyone I got this wild torch from coralkingdoms.com and it came and I dipped in coral rx as I do with all my corals before putting them into my display tank.

A few weeks later I noticed this algae growing on my frag rack and on that coral so I redipped all my torches and cleaned the rack but it still grew back. I can't figure out what this is but I want to shut it down quickly before it takes over in my tank.

You can also just rinse it off with a light peroxide solution if you have it handy.

How easily does it come off the plug? Is there any pull or tear or does it just fall apart when you rub it between your fingers

Yup cyano
Just dipped the whole entire torch frag rack in a chemiclean solution 1/4 of a scoop for 2.5 gallons. Scrubbed the rack clean and used a toothbrush to scrub the frag plugs. Here it is after the dip. The yellow holy grail with the red plug from cyano should I cut it and reglue onto a fresh plug?

btw chemiclean is not a dip. It is meant to be dosed in the tank.
