So I had to run out and bought a 10 gallon tank to separate my Chocolate and Purple Tangs that were in the 29 gallon hospital tank (which was going to be a seahorse tank - not anymore). They’ve been in Coppersafe for going on 3 days now. Tested with Hanna Cooper device and levels are were they should be. Both Tangs are eating but covered all over their little bodies. The Purple started out the worst and I am worried about her eyes. It looked like they were shedding. They seem to be a little better (fingers crossed). They both are eating and swimming around.

It's a good sign that they are eating. That improves their survivability a lot. Just be sure to keep an eye out for infections as most tangs I have quarantined with copper tend to develop bacterial infections.

Good luck!

Thank you! I have also been using MetroPlex in their food and I’ve ordered Focus as well.

What is your actual copper reading at?
Coppersafe is very mild, but because of that, it is slow to stop active ich infections. Usually three days of full dose to begin slowing things down.
Be careful with metroplex. It is very bitter and fish will often stop feeding on food treated with it. It also isn't very effective as an oral treatment for ich.

I had started the MetroPlex because it looked like the Purple had a scratch on her face. I am only doing it every other day.
