The Innovative Marin Lagoon 25 AIO w/APS Stand is my Newest Build To address My itch for a mini Frag lagoon. This build has been a vision of mine for a while w/o going huge I decided against substrate and chose to go bare bottom with an elevated egg crate frag rack the entire footprint of the tank.

_MarinePure BioBalls(Middle)
-InTank Refugium Rack Chamber 3
-InTank Chamber 4 media Rack

Water flow

**UPDATE AS OF 4/8/2020**

So, It's been a bit, but figured it's to update as we all sit at home with nothing to other than stare at our tanks and deplete our bank accounts on more reefer goods:):)

After a very long and painful attempt at cycling the tank with NO substrate, I decided to throw in the towel and add a substrate. My other builds have white sand, and I've been torn between the decision of White or Black. I finally said screw it and bought a 20# bag of
CaribSea Arag-Alive Hawaiian Black Aquarium Gravel. Despite all the negative reviews and bad experiences, I decided to try it. Honestly IMO, I think it looks great!! Ill let you know in the future if that changes. I added a few Chunks of mature, cultured live rock from my buddies cryptic sump that has been running his 500g frag lagoons for years. Lastly I added 2 bottles of Dr. Tim"s all in one, in hopes of shortening the cycle time and beefing up the Bio.

So to update to my current state, I changed some Hardware, removed some, and upgraded others. Trying to balance my funds between this setup as well as my WB Cube 20g AIO.

-- I swapped out both G4 XR15's for NEW G5 Blues x2
-- 3D Printed a frag rack with 3" supports
--ditched the Jebao SLW-20 and upgraded to two Ecotech Marine Vortech MP10WQD's
--Purchased an IceCap ATO for better Parameter stability
--Dosing BRS two part
IMG_20200408_144150.jpg

Now, tank has been cycled for a couple weeks with stable basic parameters, other than my Alkalinity spiking to almost 13dkh resulting in a nasty precipitation event and cloudy water. After a bunch of water changes and some more waiting, i was able to get the Alk. down to 8.2, a number of my liking and probably where I'm going to maintain it based off my past experiences. Calcium levels are holding steady at 420-440ppm, PH is at 8.0-8.2, with salinity at 1.026. My magnesium was low at about 1120, and in hopes of this being primarily SPS, I'm shooting for numbers closer to 1350. So to tackle that, I've recently started Dosing BRS Two Part to maintain Alk, Calc, and Mag.

Based off of these parameters Ive started moving more of my SPS into this tank as well as a bunch of my Zoas and Shrooms. So far everything looks happy, has growth, and is coloring up great.

Todays project is to remove the G4 Radions and add my new G5 XR 15's. I'm disappointed that mobius is not yet combatible with my MP10's but hopefully soon to come! I'll update as I go with pictures and documentation, as well as add a few reviews of the newer products I'm using!!

Here is where the tank stands as of now!! Enjoy!!!

**In the mean time, follow my build thread for my WaterBox Cube 20 AIO build as well**

Thank you!! I was surprised how well I like this setup so far!! I thought for sure it was too small, but makes the perfect bedside frag tank
Nice. This is one of the better looking frag displays I’ve seen. I don’t usually like the look but you’ve managed to capture the feeling of a regular minimalist type display. Well done.

Thank you! Again, it surprised me as well, and as I continue to look at this tank I get more and more so called "good" ideas. Lol... $$$$$$$$$$$

UPDATE AS OF 4/9/2020

Mounted up the new G5 Blues today as well as the new Mp10WQD. The other MP10 will be her tomorrow for install. Im excited to see how much water I can push onto my floor when they're installed.

I'm definetly going to need some diffusers for these Blues, as the light spill from two on this small 25g is huge. In the meantime I designed some shades on Fushion360 and they're printing on my Prusa MK3S as we speak. Those will be a temporary solution and hopefully help reduce the Blue spill into my mancave. I'll update when the shades are installed. Next up cable management inside my stand in prep for my Apex EL setup also on the way.

once my cable management is wrapped up, I'm going to fab up and build a canopy to see how it all fits together and cleans things up.

So my project tooka turn for the worst.lol. Just decided to put the G5 blues on the shelf and ordered a new V4 Orphek Atlantic compact. Looks like about a week out, I'll update with an unpackaging, setup and review. It'll be interesting to see one of these over my lil' 25 gallon

New setup arrived, I'll be updating after install. My initial thoughts are a well build light. Looks high quality, and packaged extremely well.

How’s that Orphek working out for you?
Orphek is proving successful!! Just coming off of acclimation period, but have seen excellent growth and coloration. I recently purchased a Deep Blue 75 rimless I'm building, so everything will be transferred to that tank once setup. My plan is to run Two(2) Orphek compacts and and a Blue plus bar on that setup.

I noticed you took out the Hawaiian Black Gravel substrate. I just finished cycling my 32g Biocube and used the same substrate. However, I keep reading that people don't recommend it and now I'm debating replacing it before I begin adding livestock. What was your experience like?

Looks cool, but total pain in the butt! Magnetic, so sticks to my glass cleaner, and from what I've heard, it can leach iron and what not into your tank. It came out 3 weeks later. Don't do it if I may advise!!
