It been a long time since I’ve made an update. Everything has been doing well in my tank. I made a floating Canopy for the lights To help reduce the glare
To help reduce the glare. Other than that not much has changed.

Oh yes I forgot .. I did change the stand some time ago. I kept stubbing my toes on the saw horses that Stuck out. so I made some legs out of some 4x4s and put casters on it and slid the tank and top onto the new legs. Much better now

Very cool. I'm looking at the Tunze setup as well. Why not get a heater that fit in the Comline?

I would have liked to use a heater that fit in the tunze unfortunately I needed a higher watt heater and it was to big to Fit in the Tunze filter

Well I tried my best to keep myself from getting a big aquarium. But like any addiction It starts off small and keeps growing lol.. first a 10g then a 30g.. now
I found a great deal on a 200g and just could not pass up the deal. Tomorrow I will have some friends help me bring home a 200g euro braced StarFire glass tank.
What have I done..not sure if I went to big this time or not. Only time will tell.

I used a Black pipe flange with some bolts fender washers and lock washers . The wood canopy doesn’t weigh much so I wasn’t too worried about it.
Thanks!!! i was thinking of running mine from the back over the tank then use the u-shaped pipe holders and screw a piece of plywood on top then build the sides off that. But your idea looks just as easy

Well I’ve managed to clean up my new to me 175g. Aquarium. I making some modifications to it. I want to turn it into a peninsula tank so I removed the back overflow and the paint on the back. I ordered a new overflow box that is smaller and I’m going to mounted on the end of the aquarium. In order to gain access to overflow box I had to cut out a glass section of the euro Brace. The piece The piece that I cut out will be installed on the long edge where that regional overflow box was .

I think I need to change the title of this thread but I’m not sure what I would call it because I still have my 10 gallon and my 30 gallon set up. Maybe should call it something like “ my obsession of collecting tanks starting from small to large “
Here’s an updated pic of my 10 gallon .

Time for A long over due update. After having the 175g tank up and running for a several months and not taking any pics. I began to realize just how much of a pain in the butt it is to reach the bottom of a 30 inch tall tank. And being lazy and not wanting to get out the stepstool to do any cleaning or maintenance. I decided it was time to get rid of the big tank and go back to just a 10 gallon and 30 gallon nano. I seem to get more enjoyment With two small tanks then a large one. So I set up my two small tanks back up and just made some minor changes. I’ve changed how I mount the AI prime lights. I build a floating canopy with a diffuser that they sit in. The added diffuser eliminates the disco ball and shadowing effect that I hated about the AI prime lights. I would say that my tank looks like it’s lit by T5 bulbs now. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. One other thing I did was add an MP 10 to the 30 gallon instead of the tunze nano pump and Aqamai pump. Oh and after having a few suicide jumpers I decided to put a D-D screen top. I also decided to do without the dosing pump I figured since I feed my fish every day it’s not much trouble for me to dose at the same time.
