Are you getting different sump to get a fleece roller?
Pretty much. I’m buying just the glass tank off a pal, so I need to piece everything else together. Since I have to buy a sump, I might as well go with the sump of all sumps!?
Any other suggestions? How do you like your roller compared to clearsea?

I don’t have a filter roller. Have 3D printed inserts where filter socks would go.

Would love a roller filter but don’t want to mess with the sump.

Just added 3D printed light shades for my Ecotech Radion XR30 Pro Lights. Thanks to @chemisfun11 who printed them for me.

1) Practically Reduces all glare when looking at aquarium
2) Focuses light into aquarium giving more par and makes colors pop
3) Significantly reduces algae build up on the glass. Used to clean glass every 2 days. Now go 6 to 7 days and much faster to clean because the build up is less
4) Gradually Turned up Light Point Intensity by 15% after installing!

Your tank is looking fantastic. I finally decided on a Radion as well after seeing your set up. Those shades are a great idea. I feel your pain on wiring. I'm still in the middle of it. 20210606_115629.jpg
Excellent start to getting organized!

Peter,

If you ever have a chance, can you tell me the dimensions of the other cabinet side as well? No worries if not, you've already been so helpful! Very thankful for your build thread!

Like what you did with the branching rock.i tried incorparating that into edges of my 2 main rock structures but couldnt get it anywhere so just decided to glue/ mortar aquascape and do without it but with possible option of adding on at later date.
Be good to see small frags grow into big colonies.

Yeah see some decent sized sps and lps but was meaning some the smaller frags on end of the branching rock.
See that above orange shoulder tang is that a orange monti cap ?
When i think coral reefs i think monti caps but i get put off as some say grow so dang fast but still tempted to put one at back of my rocks and let it grow up there sort of out the way .
Do all montis grow same sort of speed?
I hear can easy just snap pieces off if want to frag them if get out hand

Yes Orange/Red Monti. Have own for a year. Started out the size of a silver dollar. Now about 6 inches wide. Can easily cut or break off piece if over grows or want a frag.

Ok great thanks.
I decided i defo getting one of these but place at back corner out way on one my rock structures which nearly vertical at back except 2 bits rock i put there to pro-trude out for coral placement and will look again into flow/ light required to give myself quick refresher course in them but saying that will be few months down line yet as tank only been 4 month wet so will want it to go through couple more algae cycles first and stabilise.
So 6 inch in 12 month = 1/ 2 inch a month.
Thats steady enough.
When people say they grow fast i think of my planted tanks and inch or more a week on some but corals little slower growing from what i can make out so more time to react.
Ok thanks for reply and keep up good work ^_^
