To me it’s too flat to be an urchin, is it a squishy or slimy texture when you touch it?

Hmm Im afraid of hurting it. I poked at it - seems slimy- but I cant tell if squishy.

Yep - an elongated cone shape I guess. It certainly seems to go up into a...."point"

I heard some are bad, many are good, the ones I have do not cause any problems. I'd leave it until you see it gnawing on stuff you don't want to have gnawed at

The good ones tend to graze on algae.
