So i am starting a new tank and really dont want to mix batches of 50 gallons of water at a time and bucket it over to the tank. I already got my aquascaping done besides the sand. I was thinking if i filled it up with rodi water and then turned on the pump and powerheads and added salt into the filter socks it would mix the salt for me without having particals go through the pumps. Anyone else try it this way? Any reason why this wouldnt work? I understand i would have to add smaller amounts when i got close to my target salinity level but other then that it should work good i think. Picture is of the tank to be filled.

If this was me and my situation, I would add a little salt at a time to make sure no clumping happens. With enough flow and no tank inhabitants, any salt that settles out will not be an issue
