[So this all started]: with Aptasia popping up.

Lets start off by Yes, i have a QT system, and.. Normally.. I use it. So here is a perfect example why i do not like breaking my own rules. My system volume is about 250 of actual salt water.

LFS: (That I will not name): said they had these specific coral in QT, and have been treated. I Thought, Well this is great, saves me some time. . well... 3 weeks later, Aptasia! (Unless it came from Curing Live rock of 6 months). Perfect Example.

I told myself, I will get to killing it.

[Day 1]
(Here is where the Peroxide comes in)
Purchased a few bottles of the 946ML 3% Peroxide.

First, i tried a solution of 50/50
dipped the rock for 15 minutes, Transferred to Fresh salt water, then to tank.

[Day 2]
Well, The aptasia popped back out of that rock.
So i tried directly squirting H2O2 onto the aptasia.
well it shriveled up, Started bubbling severely
I was happy at this point,
Until the next day:

[Day 3]
The aptasia came right back out of the holes. ugh...
So Here we go again,
I tried pulling some rocks out of the water, setting them on a tray. Spraying H202 all over it, and it reacted with the aptasia pretty good, i thought this is GREAT. waited a few minutes. Then dropped the rock into the 50/50 solution.

Then back in the tank.

[Day 4]
You Guessed it:
Yes, the aptasia came right back.

So i tried directly squirting these guys again, and again, and again. Before i realized, i used an entire bottle of H202. ouch.

I started taking photos and documenting.

Aptasia 1 . Me 0.

Tested Nitrates before: ( Between 1 and 2)

Hard to see but this rock is now WHITE Clean.
BUT STILL HAS APTASIA.

I'm going to test for nitrates, so see if they changed after treatment.

I still have algae throughout the tank, so it did not remove it.
From what i gather:
putting the rock directly into a solution of H2O2 of 3% for 15 minutes will kill the algae.

I will post some Videos here..

Direct killing of aiptasia (assuming you o not want to make dead rock) most often requires injection with something, or covering them with a paste. Things like calcium hydroxide works well.
