I’m planning on using a Neptune dos to conduct automatic water changes.

However the saltwater storage bin is likely to be some distance away from the tank (a couple-a few rooms away).
Would I need to consider a pmup pump to supply the water to the Neptune dos?
Or would the dos be able to pull it on its own?

I am pretty sure the DOS can handle it. what is the horizontal and vertical feet it need to push/pull they can do quite a bit so I think a few rooms is not big deal useless you are doing some crazy stuff. but in most cased a DOS is all you need.

that said I dont have one yet but will on the new tank!

DOS using 1/4" RO tubing with the below fittings = perfect, no need for anything else it can easily pull 20 - 30' .

DOS does it all you don’t need anything else. I have a full auto water change system in place for two tanks
If you research the distance it can move water, it’s a lot and should meet your requirement.

Ref other thread/post if you check page 70 onwards you will see a full equipment list and I have much of what your thinking off
