I'm tearing down a tank and it has a large colony of wwc utter chaos, wondering what the running price is for those? Is it more valuable as a colony or broken down into polyps?
Thanks,

Edit: 60+ large head polyps

You would probably make more per polyp, but it will take longer. Most places seem to sell them for about 20 bucks a polyp, and small little 2-3 poylp frags seem to sell between 40-60 on average. You can find better and worse deals though. I don't really see large clusters for sale often but with most anything, when you buy in bulk the price goes down, especially since these can grow like weeds.
Just a few sources for prices:
vivid source
reefstar source
deluxe corals source
ebay source

They go for around 20$ per polyp generally most people won’t buy a 60+ polyp piece because thats a 1200 dollar piece of you count every polyp so it may be easier to sell them broken up at that price

Put up a picture and ask $600 and see what kind of offers you get. I would love to see a picture of it!

It can vary widely by area. Check to see if there is a local facebook page for reefers. You can probably see what others are trying to get for theirs. When I had them a few years back I couldn't get $5/polyp for them locally.

seems like 5-20 PP is the rate, I often sell mini colonies of 5-10 for $40-50

Good idea, I'm considering doing the same by fragging up the large colony and letting frags grow out to a profitable size.
But I'm still researching all possible opportunities,

I got 30 utters for $250. Comes to about $8.25 each. Obviously the more you buy the cheaper they get.
