I got these when they 1st came out. I love it. You can't beat the price with all that comes with it and very little waste is always a plus. The only complaint I have for it is the TDS meter always read 00PPM even after well over 2000g of water was produced. I know that the reading has to be wrong.

Mojo does the TDS meter need to be recalibrated every time you take it out of the housing?Mines always read zero no matter what.

the booster pump is for a backflush. The tds meter has not needed calibration. with this unit the filters last a a really long time

The quality of water can only get so good. lol. it comes down to how long do the filters last how long you can stay at 0 tds and ease of use. This is the best unit I have used. I used to work on industrial RO units and this little guy is a mini version of those really.

Do these need special filters? I noticed that one of the filters on the pic above has something blue on it.

No, these use standard ro/di filters that you can find with any of the other units we use for our industry.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I am on my second one now. My only complaint with these is the little grey end caps on the wiring fall off easy, my first one the wire cap fell off and the wires touched the pipe under my sink and shorted out the controller. My second ones been running fine, I'd just recommend everyone throw a little electric tape over the wire nuts to keep them from coming loose. My home water pressure is low, so the booster pump on mine runs when ever it starts making water to keep the pressure correct.
