Rearranged my sump and moved the skimmer up closer for easier maintenance. Also, picked up a nice dual stage regulator from a local reefer to replace my carbon doser as my main. Debating to keep the carbon doser or sell it to recoup some of the cost.

Funny sight last night... conch trying to by, urchin had a firm grip on him while holding onto a frag plug, and to top it off, my tang cleaning any algae off the conch shell

I had got two frags of HW. One was a .25” nub in June and a .75” frag in September, grew the nub at 350 PAR and the frag at 250 PAR. The color difference and growth pattern says a lot.

350 grows more sideways and 250 grows upward more.

350 way better coloration.

Was looking for a frag tank but needed to stick with the red sea look. Deeper than what I want but have a local club member who owns an acrylic fabrication company and is going to make me some tall racks.

plan is to add a few rocks under the racks and a few fish.

Do your yellow tangs get along well? I have a yellow tang right now and would like to introduce a black and gem tang at the same time.

How are you feeding your CO2 reactor? Did you t-off your return plumbing or are you using a separate pump? What are you using to maintain stable temperature?

Another question since I didn’t read it anywhere, what sand are you using and how many pounds?
If you still have aiptasia, nudibranch will solve your problem!

80lbs of sand and I have a six line and two leopards that would eat the nudi, so can’t really go that route
