Fin, our blue beta noticed that his leaf was submerged again. Took him less than 30 seconds.
also some amazing betas at a fish store in MI.

The asterina population in my tank is worrisome. Definitely eating coralline algae. About 8 of them are on the back panel clearing it out.

They live a good long while, don't they? My son had one and I'm pretty sure it lived 15 or 16 years which surprised me. I thought I read longer but of course never know the age when you buy pets other than a breeder I guess.

Hi! 10-15 years is the age span I have read. Bradley has been talking about rehoming ours. I am not ok with that, so I am trying to come up with a solution. Randall was a baby when we got him. So many many years to live yet. I might set him up in the living room where I can easily watch him and care for him. Our axolotl is still loved by the 17 year old and he says he will keep her till she dies of old age. She is 7 years old.
