I am not worried about keeping up with my boys education other than the school work they were sent home with. They are very bright and will be fine. I am more focused on their mental health during this isolation from friends and extended family. I must say my 24 year old is just amazing! He has a strong sense of play and fun, and is very engaging with the younger boys. Last night they were removing parts from an old nerf gun to make it “better” . lol. Today we got them a couple new nerf guns to play with. Oh boy...what was I thinking. They are giggling like loons though!!!!
The stress of not having enough PPE for all our other “normal patients” is getting to me. Some folks in leadership are being snarky. Or staff is oblivious. I am seriously stressed about work. I had faith in the beginning but they are hoarding PPE and putting us at risk now. It is weird. And yesterday my favorite boss jumped all over me because I called incident command center “meetings” and ticked her off. That is my whinging for now.

it took a few tries to get a nice picture out of them. The youngest had given up by the time I thought to take a picture.
These young men worked as hard as my husband which is saying A LOT! I am so proud of them. They can now measure, cut and lay down flooring without Being double checked or supervised. You know, this flooring is expensive and there is only so much room for expensive errors so when they were younger and helped it usually slowed you down as you taught them, right? Well it has paid off hundred fold! As you all will agree I am sure They have learned such valuable skills! And as a bonus can now help lay flooring!
Oh boy, I know all about doing flooring! I did our WHOLE HOUSE in luxury vinyl plank just a couple weeks ago! Took me two whole weeks to do!
I have just three words to say about it:

You'll love it! We love ours! No more carpet is a blessing! Even with the boxers and grandkids, its tough as nails and easy to clean!

An 80 pound lab can still do damage to hardwood! I'm replacing it with tile. I found some that offers a lot of traction. She is older and I can already tell it is easier for her to move around on.

Families always find ways to pull through these times - glad yours are making it fun. Some even find time to extend them....the new baby boomer wave is coming!!! Kidding aside and on a serious note because of your line of work. My wife return to work today for the first time in 5 weeks taking care of me Post Op. Anyway on this grand day one of the patients mothers took a swing at her then after security pulled the mother away and said she isn't welcomed proceeded to threaten to killer her. Now she is in cuffs with a possible felony charge on her. All this in a PICU. In any case police will escort my wife to her car tonight but my son is stopping by to grab our GSD and will also follow her.
Crazy times. Be careful at the hospital as here people are acting all sorts of stupid.
