I am going to start my lights up. I have never started a tank with this naked white rock. I am thinking 3 hours a day. How does that sound? I have 2 Hydra 26 HD. Any opinions on the settings?
3 is probably a nice starting point. Can't help with the settings. I wouldn't recommend your peak lighting period to be over 6 hours even when everything starts maturing.

Oh.. you may need a bigger tank if you use Paul's source for Pods! :p

On my 90 Gal I run 3x Hydra 26 with these settings:

I’m 95% dry rock with a nice shelf of live rock. I’ve kept this setting/schedule going since cycling and recently added 4x T5. No major algae outbreaks and you can always take advantage of the coral acclimation setting and reduce output by 50% scaling up over 2-4 weeks.

I must have touched something with my light settings. They peak from 11a-4p. Not as long as it shows here.

I ordered my first batch of fish to QT.
Azure Damselfish, Captive-Bred(Chrysiptera hemicyanea) 4
Ocellaris Clownfish, Captive-Bred(Amphiprion ocellaris ) 2
Yellow Pyramid Butterflyfish(Hemitaurichthys polylepis) 1
Flame Hawkfish(Neocirrhites armatus) 1

I always QT fish. I have a 20L that I really like to use and I bought a Fluval U3 filter that I love so far. The biological filter has been sitting in the invert QT that has the coral banded shrimp chilling out. Been in there for many months, so I am well prepared there. Each of these fish I am expecting to be pretty small, around 2 inches. I do not plan to use the TTM, unless I see signs of ich . I have been planning to medicate prophylactically for flukes and ich. But I have to decide...do TTM then into the QT with the seeded biological filter or place them in there first and observe and treat.
I think the 20L will be a good size for that many fish, but I usually only QT 1-2 fish at a time.

The flame hawk keeps checking me out through the front door and when I go to take his picture he swims away to peer at me from the back of the mushroom house he has claimed. OMG! It is so funny.
I put all the fish in in the QT. This time I made the QT obnoxious! Pink & purple! I love it!

Does your drain pipe end an inch or 2 below the water line?
Try slowing down the return pump?
The drain was below the water line at first. That was a lot of fun! LOL. I don't want less flow through my display tank. So for now I am living with it. I wish I had a wand that could just make my old sump bigger or could combine my old sump with my new sump without costing me $500. I hate how the rag looks on there but it is working. No more salt creep. :D
