Mine was just delivered today. It's going on my 180 build. It's going to rock!

Ok I will. I have a build thread started but it might be a little b4 water goes in. I also run 2 maxspect gyre on my current tank. And have a set in boxes for the new build

Do you use the Syna-G app to control your Gyres? Do you plan on using it for the skimmer?

Believe it or not the one set of gyres are old. 130s with individual controllers they've been great though still work good. I watched a few videos on that and definitely looks promising. I'm trying to make this tank is automated as possible within my budget. Will it control both skimmer and gyres

Hi, thanks for your support. To use APP to control Gyres and skimmers, it needs to have an ICV6 hot spot device, and the Gyres need to be Gyre 200 or Gyre 300 series, and for Gyre 200 series, it needs to have firmware version above 2.0 and if it doesn't, it needs to get a Micro SD Card(TF Card) to update the firmware.

Good the new ones are 230s. So that sounds like a plan. I'll keep you posted how it goes. And hit you up with some questions lol.

Hi thanks, and the firmware version of the Gyre 230s will flash up when the controller is turning on, like the picture below:
Firmware.png

It shows Gyre-A2.3 means the firmware version is 2.3, above 2.0, so it is able to connect to ICV6 and control via APP.

I haven't opened the boxes yet but this is on the side so it looks like I'm good

Here's the controller you'll need if/when the time comes (only $50):

I have been running the maxspect duo 600 for 6 weeks and I'm so glad I bought this skimmer!

This thing is quite and powerful. It gets the crud out. It's on a 180 and this skimmer rocks!

Eww, yuck! ;) How is the noise level? I was watching a @SaltwaterAq video earlier and the host was sitting right next to it and you couldn't hear a thing.

How are you liking the skimmer? Still perorming well? Still quiet? Going back and forth between this and a Dalua GW12. I'm struggling to make a decision.

I see @RRTV_Cody is using the skimmer, too! The video below is 2 months old, so he probably has even greater perspective now:

Great skimmer! I have it on my 300, does a well enough job pulling a stinky slurry out. And yeah it's quiet. I still stand my "most Innovative skimmer" award. Lol
