Hi all,

I have a 75g reef tank with many chalices, acans and scolys and am debating if I should add a Vortech MP40 wave system or go with Reefbrite LEDs. I currently have 2 250 20k MHs for lighting and a general waterflow setup.

If you were going to choose one which one and why? Also, if anyone has these for sale shoot me an email on pricing.

Thanks. Dave

I would say leds unless ur tanks water flow is way to slow, because the corals you mentioned will look like someone broke glowsticks of differant colors on them!

I would say the reefbrite's. Vortech would be a lot of flow for a 75 w/ lps like that. aka you'd have to turn it down a lot and then theres no point in buying such a big pump. acans will get much puffier with less flow.

plus the LED's will make you drool all over ur tank.

Since you have low flow corals, I'd go Reefbrites, but also consider going LED- try replacing 1 MH with LED and see how you like it. You're likely to then convert the 2nd one.
