While I am waiting for fish from Dr Reef (sounds like it might be a while longer) is there anything I can do to benefit the tank?

90gal display with a 40 breeder sump. Tank has been finished cycling for about a month now. Salinity has been stable. Tested pH, NO3, PO4, Ca, and KH twice post cycle. Both times same within normal parameters. Lights are off.

Been doing planted freshwater for about a year, so familiar with testing and water changes.

Just patiently waiting...any suggestions?

Add reef mud like aquaforest live source. Establish pro biotic micro-fuana. Get ahead of 'young tank' nasties.

Thanks!

I have miracle mud in the fuge chamber already...I know...mixed reviews on it.

By “pro biotic micro-fuana” do you mean the bacteria in the mud?

Yes, basically beneficial bacteria. Early on there will be an all out turf war between diatoms, algaes and bacteria which is fuelled by fish feeding. If you give beneficial bacteria a head start then you won't have major issues.
