You can't go wrong with 16 high I absolutely love it. I have a 21 high tank that I'm itching to sell now that I got my shallow tank. It's 16 high and very fresh. Currently cycling but going all sps with some acans in the sand. Here is a pic.

I'm on my phone. Currently on vacation. Hope the pics come out well.

Cheers, Kman.

My tank is 12" high. I have a Radion gen 3 pro. What's the best light setting and percentage for sps?? It's 12" above the tank 13" above water and about 14" above start of rock.

Right side will be sps. Only one lonely stick right now. Oregon tort

It's going out of the tank and on top of the other tank. I have an 8g next to it where I'm going to grow freshwater plants and mangroves and have plants growing on the rocks too. Haha yea the most she ever does it drink the water out of my freshwater tank lol she used to sit on top of my old 55g and stare at the fish all day
Here's the whole set up

Need some flow suggestions. Was thinking about putting both at the end next to the over flow but didn't know if it would work with that rock scape. I am using two mp40s. What do think would be the best. Also will be a peninsula tank

With it being a peninsula tank I'd do both on the overflow side simply for aesthetics. I have mine on opposite ends with the left side MP40 closer to the front pane and the right side MP40 closer to the back pane. But mines not a peninsula.

Thank you! It's got a ways to go but I've got high expectations! Ive put a lot into the system and for the first time am jumping into high end SPS. Picking up a WD Tenuis locally and then placing an order with TCK.

For you Game of Thrones fans, Tyrions words in the finale really hit home after buying that WD, "you're in the great game now, and the great game is terrifying". Goodbye $$$$.

Here's a more recent FTS

Right now channel one is at 25% and channel two is at 35%. I'm going to progressively ramp up the percentages, but currently there's no fish in the system so nutrients are super low. The SPS are paling a bit and I don't want to make matter worse by frying them with light.

Agreed.

I am running channel one 97% at the two edges and 95% for my three middle fixtures, 5 total. My whites are no higher than 19%. A buddy of mine fried his acros using 30% white but I believe other factors were messing up his tank as well.

Btw, are you dosing anything for corals to maintain color (aminos or KNO3)? If not, it may be helpful since there's nothing in your tank.

I'm dosing aminos right now. I tend to stock on the heavier side so I shouldn't need to once the fish go back into the display in two weeks. I plan to switch to the Aquaforest line and will start dosing all their products.
