Well I finally received my 110 waterbox and with the sump it came with i was thinking of putting a refugium in it.
It would measure out to 12 1/2 x 6 1/4 and 7 inches deep because of the return baffle to the pump. But I could make this a little taller by gluing a pc and inch or so over the whole
Some questions I have are, is this size good enough but its all there is so it has to be.
When putting in the baffals should I put 2 or just the 1 and if 2 have the water go under then over or if just 1 I would think just over the top. How tall should they be ?
Another question what do I use to glue it in place.
Let me know what I missed and what you may do.
Thanks

Welcome! Any size fuge is better than none at all. The reason for 2 pieces is it forms a bubble trap (bubbles can’t go over-under), which keeps bubbles (bad) out of the system. Aqueon makes a reef-safe silicone for baffles. Good luck!

That’s a nice looking sump.
Baffles? I like 1.5 inches clearance over or under. You might tag Melev or someone for custom weirs you could glue to the glass for added height

Thanks. I will look for that silicone. Do I need a bubble trap you think since I have one before the pump ?
Just figured I need something idk baffle or wall to keep the cheto or whatever out from the skimmer pump and I figured that would kill the microbubbles.
Can't wait to set it up have the LR on order from TBS thats 2 week wait.... Hopefully but that gives me time to do this stuff.

Just curious if you ever installed the baffle. I'm saving up for the same tank and had the same idea for a fuge. Would love to see some pics.
