Warning to anyone looking to get a rock flower nem

I bought a rock flower nem a while back. I lost three fish randomly. They just seemed to disappear. Never suspected the nem because i didn’t see any remains around it. But fast forward a bit and the nem moves around a bit. I see the remains of all three fish where the nem was. It was under the tentacles of the nem so I never saw them. Be advised they may eat fish.

Your fish were sick and dying. Current carried them to the nem and the nem ate it.

I’ve never had issues with rock flowers. I have with maxi minis (currently have a pretty big one in a nano, but no issues so far).

Agree w/ above. Likely not rock flowers. Someone likely sold you a maxi mini as they look similar for an untrained eye.

A rock flower is not going to harm a healthy fish. If the could all my fish would be dead.

Rock flowers are basically harmless.

Yes, harmless. I have about 10 of them, I have never had any problems. They can actually had gotten stung by some of my corals, one almost killed by a galaxia.

Galaxia is used to kill aiptasia. By far from harmless
Poor RFA.

Yeah I don’t quarantine though I probably should. Possible I just need to purchase from a more reputable source. I rehomed the rfa to an lfs and they said it was a maxi mini lol I got scammed.
