I have not had any updates for a while. Work has been pretty intense and the tank has had it's ups and downs. Got a BRS edition apex with a trident and I decided on quite a drastic change, the rock flower babies still popping up convinced me that this system really needs to be a rock flower garden!

I gave away all the acros in the system to my two friends, yes I am crazy, but all the battlepacks, colonies, pretty much all the livestock now is theirs. It's several thousand in corals, but I know they will be well tended for and I also insisted they share frags. I took some of the live rock from the sump and built the display higher since acros will not be filling it, and will start the RFA rebuilding process! Changed the thread title and down the road I go!

Wow! Mine hasn't grown a lot, not sure why. It's added maybe 2-3 cm of shell. I must be doing something wrong.

Yep! 12 chalk bass in this system. They were not the best display until I added some wrasse to the mix, with some bold fish they are much more out in the open now!

The side shot did look great, of course things went down and up after that.... then down again, haha. Most of those coral were still doing well but now in my friends tank! Too much stress for me!

Thanks!!

I figure the rock nems did so well still having babies everywhere and their color is really unmatched so for me it make sense to let them do their thing!
I will update as I rebuild their population.

Gigas update.

1st pic and today. My friend superimposed them matching the ridges using his photo magic.

6 months or so to well over double in size.

Now have over 100 nems in the tank and added some gorgs for movement. Overall I am pleased, so much color! Quite impressed with the variety of vendors I bought from, they all arrived healthy and colorful. I didn’t want to stick to one vendor as I each tends to collect from a specific area and can get more varieties of color patterns using several.

leaving moon lights on the 1st week as they tend to walk the at night until they get settled.Have also already fed them, they were eager to get some food!

There are some flat spots on the rocks that nems are not going to want to sit on since they can't get their foot in a hole, so figured i would put zoas there. Found a user selling a pack here on r2r so i bought the following:

5p rainbow infusion
7p playboy bunnies
4p treehouse of horrors
2p chuckies bride
4p utter chaos
3p purple hornets
2p Gatorades
4p yodas
3p bow tie blasters
4p pink zippers
4p nirvanas
3p unicorn eyes

Gorgs are settling in well. Lost one that came in very bad shape but overall not they were solid.

Still fighting pyrimid snails but this sand bowl has been working well.
