Cant wait to see these all out in your tank.I have to say Jason Fox is on point. They had this huge live sale and shipped out already. What I didn't expect is the care in packaging. Here are some pics. Anytime acros have PE in bag you know they are doing something right.
Really impressive @jfox !
That’s so exciting!!!!!Tank is being delivered today. I am always interested how the freight company will deliver it, with the bigger miracles tanks I had to pick them up with a truck from the local depot, so home delivery is nice. I have not quite decided how I am going to do the transfer but that will be several days or longer. I want to get starboard silicone and use some epoxy to put a couple frag plugs on the back glass. Might as well do it dry, makes everything easier. I suppose might as well order a lid too while I am at it and have the dimensions. Not sure who to order from, I really like black netting, but BRS isn't selling it yet. My artfully acrylic lids are nice for the other tanks so I might do the same thing.
Looking good! What about keeping the old one running and turning it into a rock nem tank?Whew. Long afternoon of assembly and cleanup.
Just got it in the house. Not it's final location of course. Need to brainstorm the plumbing and how to make the switch.
Looking at it today, I just love the stand. It's quite a bit taller than I am used to, but how the doors tuck flush with the front glass, it's pretty cool. I am happy with this choice. Now plumbing will be interesting since I have only one drain drilled to the sump and don't want to drill another. The drain is smaller than 1" being metric so it flat out might not flow enough and I might need to add the second line.
It makes your current tank look so tiny. What are you going to do with all your new room!!!Getting things ready and measuring...
The orphek with kessil mounts has 9" spacing.
Waterbox cutout is 10" so I don't have anything to mount it to!
But the bottom rail does have a ledge so I measured out and out one clamp with the PVC, then put the orpheks on temp to secure the distance (yay for me to remember put gorilla tape on the metal so it didn't scratch), then secure with a second set.
1st set to give rough spacing:
Gorilla tape to not scratch. I will eventually use double sided adhesive.
And here it is all secure. I might try adding a side pipe clamp as it's quite close to the edge and it might work, but even if not this will do! Now put light back on other tank while get the rest sorted out.
